Y-yeah. [Oh he's smiling. Ken turns a little red and nods.] I had to test into them because my GPA during middle school was pretty low. My homeroom teacher told me not to slack off in high school.

I'm going to watch your grades. I want people coming after you with full scholarships in senior year.

I'm going to try. I mean-- My dad says not to worry about tuition when choosing school, but I know the custody agreements with his other kids is that he has to help pay for them, too. So I've gotta. [He shrugs.] Besides, I finally got my grades up. I'm gonna keep them up.

And if you need any help, you know right where I am.

I do. I'm counting on you to look over my finals essays.

I'll make sure they get As.

[He's smiling a tiny smile.]

The only thing I won't do is make a speech at graduation. I don't want that spotlight.

[He hesitates.] Hey, if you've got any free time, anytime soon...

I have to deal with my family. And my parents. They're probably waiting at my aunt's place. There's orientation, too.

But I'll make time.

[He shakes his head.] I appreciate it. But not-- not if it'll cause you trouble, okay?

You don't cause me trouble.

I just don't want you getting in more trouble with your family...
