[he still shouldn't... Susan sighs. Did he just kiss you?]

[She nods!!! It's okay though. It just stood out because she's never been kissed by anybody before.]

[As she starts cutting the vegetables after throwing some chicken in a bowl of hot water to thaw, she asks if Ken said anything when he kissed Nadia?]

He said he wanted me to stay with him... [She'll wash what vegetables are left to wash.]

[Susan looks very thoughtful. Then she peers at Nia.

She tells him that she didn't speak to Ken until very recently, but she's actually known about Mr Amada and Ken for quite a few years. She saw them a lot because when he was younger, Mr Amada will pick Ken up from school and let him stay at work until it was time for them to go home. Susan was in the same department so she saw them often. Ken would come to work every day of the school week because he didn't want any babysitters and even when a classmate invited him over, he didn't want to make his dad have to go pick him up. He always looked really lonely when Mr Amada had to attend a meeting and he would sit and do his homework in his dad's chair but he never, ever complained or asked him not to go.

She washes her hands, dries them, and leans so she's at eye-level with Nadia and brushes some of her hair out of her face. Ken never used to talk to anybody about himself, let alone about any friends. But now he talks about you all the time.]

[Nadia blushes and her eyes drop to the floor. She looks pleased, though. genuinely pleased that he talks about her and considers her a friend.] He is my precious friend. And he is a very good person! He has never spent time with me just because my father is who he is... So I will make sure he is happy no matter what! [She looks so determined when she says that.]

[Susan's glad to hear that. For both of them. But she's still very serious as she asks Nia if she understands how Ken feels with that kiss, and if she is going to give him an answer.]

I care about him very much... But he seems embarrassed. I don't want to make him uncomfortable with my own feelings.

[orangehoodie]

[Why do you think he will be uncomfortable?]

[lowres]

[She folds her hands behind her back, staring at her shoes. She's wearing his clothes and they smell like him and they're soft and she likes that but--]

He is a very shy person. I almost scared him away.

[He wants you to stay. It's not very often he asks anybody to stay.

But Nadia, does Nadia want to stay with him, and be closer to him? That's what matters. Susan is sure that Ken will accept Nadia's feelings no matter what they are.]

Of course I do. [She doesn't even have to think about it.]

[Then she doubts her feelings would burden him at all. He cares very, very much about her.]

Then I will tell him how I feel! [She is humming as she assists Susan with cooking!]

[Susan smiles. She is so happy for young love. It's cute.

Ken will soon appear out of the shower to help with dinner! Seeing him will make Susan smile from ear to ear and he stares at her when she starts giggling but turns to Nadia and asks how she's feeling?]

[Nadia's face is red!! But she marches to Ken, takes his hand in hers and her face is set in determination.]

Will you please come with me?

[She can't confess her own love in front of someone else, what if Ken gets embarrassed?]

[What.

What. What did he do. Ken looks panicked for a second what did he do before he nods!!]

W-what is it. [He will follow her.]

[She'll make sure his door is unlocked before she takes him into the hallway outside of his apartment.

And then she looks positively shy. She doesn't look shy almost ever.]

... I wanted to be very clear with you about my feelings, Ken.

[orangehoodie]

[Oh Jesus. She took him outside? It must be serious. It might be bad.

His heart jumps in his throat and he tries not to panic.]

I-- I shouldn't have kissed you without asking.

[Crap. Crap crap.]

[She shakes her head. Smiles, even! How come it was so easy to tell Susan.]

It isn't that. I'm not mad. [IT MAKES HER HEART GO DOKI DOKI] But I--I didn't want you to have to think about it all night.

[Ken's stupid. But not that kind of stupid. And not that stupid. He blinks, her words sinking in, and he feels his stomach attempt a somersault. Ten out of ten, but totally twisted.]

... Nadia.

[lowres]

[She tugs his hand into both of hers again.]

I wanted to tell you! I care about you very much. You are my best friend in the world. If you want me by my side... then I want to be there.

[orangehoodie]

[He blinks at her, confusion settling on his face. His eyes widen a degree when he thinks he understands what she means, and -- best friend?

He doesn't dare let it show on his face. He puts on a smile.]

... I'll be happy to have you with me.

I love you.

[IS THAT CLEAR ENOUGH KEN?] We are very young and I am not entirely sure I know the concept of love well, but when I am nearby you my heart beats faster and I am always happy and when you hold me, I feel safe and warm like nothing bad can ever happen. And maybe that is not love, but it is the closest thing I think I have ever experienced.
