[He shakes his head.] I'm okay. If I sleep anymore now I won't sleep tonight.

[She presses her forehead to his again.] I will wake you.

[He closes his eyes.] I want to stay like this for now.

[It's nice? He's scared of changing the friendship between them but it's a little too late now and for now it's nice.]

[Not if Ken doesn't move. Nadia is even containing her snuggles.]

[He's only going to move when Susan clears her throat from the doorway and his face turns bright red and he stammers something about cooking dinner and slips and falls sideways off the couch in his attempt to get up]

[OMG Ken.

Nadia peers at him, offering a hand to help him up.] Are you all right?

[He'll take it. He rubs his hip where he landed, nodding.] I think so.

[When he's back up, she smiles at Susan politely, thanking her for the ride.]

[Susan will smile back and tell them she can handle making dinner, but is there anything Nadia is allergic to? She called Ken's father so he'll know to expect her.]

[She shakes her head!!! But she can help! She's learning to cook.]

[Susan is not going to say no to a helper. She'll shoo Ken off to go shower because she knows he hasn't yet, and will show Nadia to the kitchen. Is Nadia familiar with it?]

[She's seen it, but she doesn't know very well.]

[Then it'll be an adventure. Let's see what's in the fridge.]

[She will find what she can! And she will enjoy spending time with Susan. She calls her Miss Susan and asks things about Ken if Susan might know them.]

[She absolutely adores Nadia and loves the "Miss," and she will answer as many questions as she can but she also explains that she and Ken didn't really talk until about Eastertime, since he usually kept to himself so much before that.]

Ken did not speak to me for much longer, but he seemed very shy... We almost weren't friends. I am afraid I'm a little too... excitable.

[She nods understandingly. She was convinced for years, herself, that Ken didn't like her because she was too excited and loud the first time they met. Now he keeps up mostly and she knows how to control herself too.

He's a good kid, she says sagely.]

He's my very best friend. [She nods once. Pauses. Older female that isn't her mom... who's pretty nice.]

I think he kissed me.
